A Day In The Life of Asia!!

My Asia is the cutest little thing but she is one busy little girl. She keeps me on my toes all day long. While I'm cleaning up one of her messes she's running off to the next project of destroying my house literally.

She has discovered the last couple of months that she can climb on things. Including the kitchen table. She has also realized that she can pull the kitchen chairs anywhere she wants and has a lot more options of getting into everything.

This is her with Makynlee's makeup caked on her and everything else.

One of her favorite things is dumping thousands of elastics all over the floor. Usually it starts in the bathroom and continues throughout the whole house. O, yes so fun!!

Yes, this is red permanent maker on her face. Other fun activities she loves is getting into the trash can, pouring shampoo all over the floor and rugs, pulling anything out of the drawers, putting things in the toliet, painting red sparkle nail polish all over her, her clothes, the coffee table and carpet. These are just a few things Asia does during the day.

End result, Asia spending most of the day in Time Out. She finally fell asleep this time after screaming. She is the ultimate fit thrower. She falls straight on her bum and then whips her head back onto the floor. Honestly, I really don't know how her head still works. You would think she would learn by now that that really hurts. Thank goodness for nap time so I get something done besides cleaning up after her.
So I keep getting asked about having more kids. So if this doesn't give an answer then I guess I'll have to spell it out. NO. NO.NO. Ok so maybe that's a little harsh but I'm not even going to consider having another child until Asia is in school.

Easter 2009

We decided not to go camping this year for Easter because of the weather. I really didn't want to be trapped in the camper all weekend with the girls. We went to Thousand Lakes on Friday and went fishing. It was nice to get out of the house and the weather was actually pretty good. On the way home Asia was eating a pull and peel licorice. It started to gag her and she through up all over herself and her car seat. Since her car seat was covered in puke I decided I would have to hold her on the way home. Have you ever tried holding a 1 year old still for 10 minutes let alone and hour and a half drive home. It was pretty interesting. She kept pretending the gear shifter was a microphone. It was so funny.

My Grandma Huntington had her annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday at my Aunt Sandra's house because it had been raining. The girls had a lot of fun finding all their eggs.

Asia finding one of her eggs. She is a stinker and won't ever look at me anymore to take a picture.

We spent the rest of the day at my grandma playing games with the family. My cousins Megan and Trevor and his wife Julie came down for the weekend. It was nice to see them since they live so far away. Later that night we painted Easter Eggs.

On Sunday the girls found their Easter baskets and their eggs that were hidden outside. We had a BBQ later with Cole's mom.

Asia 's favorite part is definitely the candy.

Our New Bundle of Joy!!

I have been asking Cole if we could get a little house dog forever. He just kept saying that they were to big of a pain in the butt, that we would have to find a babysitter for our dog too if we wanted to go some where. Well, about 8 weeks ago Makynlee's grandma Mae and aunt Jackie told me they were having yorkie puppies and if I wanted one they would give me first pick and a deal on one. Since that day I have been driving Cole crazy about giving one to the girls for Easter. I love yorkie's but their pretty expensive so I figure this was the only way I would be able to get one. Cole finally gave in!!

Saydee Angel

At first Makynlee wanted to name her Angel Diamond Princess because she has three names so so should the puppy. I said I liked the name Saydee and so did Makynlee. So her name is Saydee Angel Anderson.

Asia talking to Saydee. She absolutely loves the puppy and is constantly talking to her and giving her kisses. Asia gets so excited when she sees her.Asia giving her one of her many hugs.

Makynlee holding Saydee. She is pretty spoiled with all of us and is rarely put down. Yes, even by Cole. He loves her.
Saydee is 6 weeks old and weighs 1 lb. 7 oz.
I went and picked her up on Tuesday April 7 and surprised the girls.

Makynlee's New Look!

Makynlee finally got her cast on March 26. As you can see it's PINK of course. The x-rays looked good so they left the pins in and put the cast on. She decided after getting it on that she didn't want anyone to sign it but she only wanted me to draw a little heart on it.

We go back to Primary Children's on April 17 where they will take more x-rays to make sure it's ok and then they will take out the pins and take the cast off. I'm so glad she only has to have on for 3 weeks instead of two months. She's doing a lot better now that she's off the pain medicine (not quite so crazy and mean now). At first she was a little upset because she said she looked so weird in her clothes with the cast but is getting use to it now. So there's the update.

Surgery Update

We left on Wednesday night for Primary Children's since her surgery was scheduled for Thursday morning. We stayed at the Plaza. The swimming pool was closed but we were able to hang out in the hot tub.

The staff at Primary's are amazing. They had a special nurse come and just talk to her about what was going to happen. She had pictures of the doctor's that were going to be in the operating room with her and pictures of the rooms she would be going to. She gave her a hospital doll to color on. They just went out of their way to make sure she wasn't scared when they took her back.
The surgery went good. They put two pins in her elbow and splint it for now. Makynlee had a little bit of a rough time when she woke up. She was in a lot of pain but every time they would give her more pain medicine her oxygen went way down. They were able to get the pain and oxygen under control and after about three hours in the recovery room we were able to go home.
They let her ride out in this wagon. She has had a hard time with the pain medicine. It makes her very grumpy and a little mean but I think she's getting use to it and it's getting better. She's still in a lot of pain so I had to call Primary Children's for another prescription. She keeps saying "mom there's something stuck in my skin under my cast and it hurts really bad." I hate that she can feel the pins in her arm. I feel so bad for her.
We have an appointment on Thursday where they'll take more x-rays. If everything looks ok then they can take out the pins and cast it. They weren't able to cast it yet because of the swelling.
Thank you mom and dad for watching Asia for us so we could put all our attention on Makynlee. We really appreciate all the calls, visits and prayers from everyone. Thank You!!

We're off for surgery!

Makynlee had a doctors appointment on Tuesday with Scott Justesen in Price. By the way, he is an excellent doctor. We had to go get more x-rays at the hospital. We were a little shocked when he said that she would need surgery and have a couple pins put in her elbow. We were told when it happened that there was a slim chance she would need surgery, that it was just an automatic referral to an orthopedic surgeon because of the kind of break it was. So we were just expecting to have a cast put on yesterday. Anyways, she has surgery scheduled for Thursday at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake. Makynlee is pretty upset about it. She just keeps saying "No more doctors, please mom." It's so sad!! Thanks everyone for your concerns and I let ya know how it goes.

Makynlee's 6th Birthday

Makynlee wanted to have her birthday party at the new swimming pool, go figure that she would break her arm a couple of days before. We rented the party room there and did presents and cake and ice cream. Then they were able to go swimming.

She got lots of cute clothes and toys.

We had a Hannah Montana party for her. She absolutely loves Hannah Montana.

Makynlee had a lot a fun even though she could only stay by the stairs. She had some really good friends that stayed by her and played. Thanks Diana and Madi!!

I can't believe she's six. Time flies. Thanks everyone for coming and making it special for her. She's already planning her next birthday party at the pool and I promised her that as soon as she gets her cast off I'll take her to the pool and invite everyone again.
